Since 2006, Prof. Carlo Monaco is a Confirmed Researcher and Associate Professor in the Scientific Disciplinary Sector MED/28 at the University of Bologna.

From 2016 onward, he has held the position of Director of the Second-level Master’s program in “Prosthetics and Implant Prosthetics with Advanced Technologies” at the University of Bologna.

His academic journey includes the attainment of two Ph.D. degrees in prosthetic materials. The first was earned at the University of Siena (Faculty of Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics), involving a 4-year overseas stay at the cardiology research laboratory of the University of Geneva. The second Ph.D. was completed at the University of Bologna (Faculty of Engineering, specializing in the “Materials Science” section).

Prof. Monaco has received the National Scientific Qualification for Associate Professor under the D.D. 1532/2016 announcement and the National Scientific Qualification for Full Professor under the D.D. 1532/2016 announcement.
